This science of life deals with the branch of knowledge which is related to life and death which is ultimately about the wellness of human being. The principle of Ayurveda is guided by principles of nature. Ayurveda is the ancient Indian Holistic Medicine, based on the philosophy of prevention then the medicine and most importantly is away from any harmful side-effects and has capabilities of treating disease at its root cause.
The basic Ayurvedic philosophy works on PanchaBhoota also called as Five physical elements Akasha (Air), Vayu (Vital force), Tejas (Some mineral , acids, alkalies etc) Jala (Water) and Prithvi (Organic substances), and is believed that the well-being of humans at any given moment has strong bearing on the quality, quantity, and configured pattern of these five elements.
The whole concept of treatment revolves around the balancing of all these five elements. In Ayurveda, a combination of these principles are classified into three viz i.e Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha imbalance of these is known as disorders or DOSHA (in Sanskrit, Three is TRI and Disorder is DOSHA) and known as TRIDOSHA.
